Maximising Potential in Single Adults

Productivity and the seizing and maximisation of opportunities as well as the development of God-endued talents were dominant themes in Jesus’s life, teachings and ministry. In the Parable  of the Ten Pounds, Jesus taught His disciples to “Occupy till I come” (Luke 19:13). In the Parable of the Labourers in Matthew 20, Jesus showed His abhorrence of idleness.

One of the perceived biggest problems among mature singles (especially of the female sex) in the Body of Christ is the inability to find a life-partner. It has become such a burden that many who fall into this category are stagnating or compromising by dating and even marrying unbelievers.

Aslan LIFE Sister CarolAslan LIFE intends to reorient singles to the realisation that singleness is not a disease to be dreaded and avoided, but an opportunity to be understood and embraced. Fora which give people of similar age and  status the chance to convene will be organised. Exciting, fun-filled, “bucket list ” activities will give mature singles a shot at things which the exigencies and responsibilities of being married with children will deny them later in life. Nor will it be all fun and games. We intend to offer career guidance counselling and job-improvement advice and training. All these ensure that the mature single is not stagnating but developing themselves while waiting for Prince (or Princess) Charming. This serves the dual role of self-fulfilment and presenting an even more attractive package to the more noble suitor they will now invariably attract.

Of course, in addition to all of these we will constantly conduct Friends 4 Life classes which teach about prosecuting proper sexually-sanctified relationships while preparing this group for a  fulfilling and enduring marriage.
